It's the middle of the week, and if you're like me then the brain mush has been setting in ever since 4pm on Monday. You need a boost to get you through the Wednesday doldrums, and this fun collection of pics, memes, and tweets can be just the thing. 

April fools was just a few days ago, and as usual plenty of brands decided to have some fun with their customers. But no industry faced as much backlash for its pranks than the gaming industry, and the Minecraft studio Mojang was one of the primary targets. Angry at the new April fool's additions to the game, people wondered why they, and other developers, couldn't put the same time and effort into the actual game as they did the April Fool's updates. This led many to defend Mojang, arguing that Microsoft's ownership of the brand means they're much more strict about approving updates that will actually affect the game long term. 

If you're tired of new games the way they are, you can always go back to playing the old goodies. One tweet showed each of the XBoxes through the generations, and stacked the original on its side to look more like the others. But everyone knows, like a VCR player, the original XBox is only meant to sit horizontally.
